Where is God's house? Is it or is it not made with hands? Is it a private transaction in an individual heart or God's people in the world? Even though it's been fashionable to decry brick and mortar, could God's house actually be a building on a parcel of land?

However we answer those questions, here is a deeper guiding principle:


"Beautiful is the large church,

With stately arch and steeple;

Neighborly is the small church,

With groups of friendly people;

Reverent is the old church;
