When I was a boy...

When I was a boy on the farm, we didn't have many books or magazines to read. The one thing we did have was the daily newspaper. I read the funnies, of course. As I grew older, I read the front-page news and the editorials. Way back, my daily reading was the "Believe It or Not," featuring amazing things gathered by Robert Ripley.
It was a box down in the corner of one of the pages. There would be two or three astonishing items. Unbelievable! Why, that couldn't be! Never heard of such a thing! Do you suppose that could be accurate?
Sometimes, I would shake my head and say to myself, "I don't believe that." That was the idea of the feature. Ripley wanted to leave us to "believe it or not."
So, the disciples were left to "believe it or not." So we, you and I, are left to believe it or not, the wonderful account of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
