When all is said and done, an indispensable ingredient of growing congregations is the attitude exemplified by both the leadership and followership of the church. Attitude influences altitude. How high a church flies and how far it goes in reaching persons for Christ has everything to do with having a positive, Christ-like attitude.
One church struggled for ten years with floundering programs and declining membership. Surveys were conducted, experts were called in to analyze the problem and still members were sorely perplexed as to the causes of attrition.
