Two facets stand out in...
Two facets stand out in this account. First, we are impressed that the nameless widow, although she did not think she had enough for herself and her son, was willing to share with Elijah. Second, contrary to her wildest hopes, she and her household ate and the food supply never failed. Perhaps we should relate this to the word sometimes heard among church people that there isn't enough money to do what the local church wants so there surely isn't enough money to send to help others. We can relate to the food supply never failing from the manna in the desert and John 6:41ff.
