Twenty years ago a youthful, brash and loud-mouthed Cassius Clay made headlines with his overstated egotism. "I'm the greatest," he would crow at weigh-ins before boxing matches. To the consternation of many who championed modesty, Clay often seemed to prove it in the ring. But his own Islamic religion puts the lie to his self-praise. In words that Judaism could reflect, Mohammedism teaches "God is great" (not Cassius Clay).
