Togetherness is a comfortable way...

Togetherness is a comfortable way to deal with life. Paul had the companionship of Barnabas during the first missionary journey. Now, as he begins this second missionary journey, Paul and Barnabas are separated.
A new companion is sought. Timothy works out well for the trip to Derbe and Lystra. But this portion of Scripture has a strange reference in the tenth verse. It is "we." If the reference was to Paul and Timothy, it would have been they. Who is the "we"?
The writer of Acts becomes the companion of Paul. The next section of "we" terminology comes in chapter 20, verse 5. In Philippi, Paul and Luke again are reunited in their efforts.
However, another companion becomes significant to the trip as well —it is the Spirit of Christ literally telling them where to go and how to get there. Strong is the Spirit in its direction to Paul regarding cities to visit and not visit.
What becomes beautiful is the complete following of the Spirit by Paul in these travels. There is never a word of doubt about Who he is following. Is there any wonder that the harvests were always so tremendous?
