Though he was a prophet...

Though he was a prophet, Habakkuk had difficulty understanding God's ways. Like many
of us, he grumbled to God about his country's wickedness. Violence flamed everywhere.
Dishonesty paralyzed business. Judges were crooked. Justice was rare. This upset
Habakkuk. The Lord acknowledged the prevalent wickedness in Israel and informed the
whining prophet that he intended to remedy Israel's wickedness. That was good news.
