Emphasis Preaching Journal

A third grade boy came home from school one day with something clenched in his hand. He rushed into the house to find his mother; then he opened the hand to reveal five watermelon seeds. He explained that his teacher had given these to him, and said that if he planted them and took care of them they would grow into watermelons. His mother encouraged him to place them beneath a few inches of loose dirt in the garden. As she went out to check on the project a half hour later she was surprised to find a large sign at the edge of the garden which read: Keep out! Watermelons growing.
