There was a discussion during a Sunday School class on the individuals Jesus chose to be his disciples. There were Peter, Andrew, James and John, fishermen from Galilee. Couldn't Jesus find people with better qualifications? There was Matthew the tax collector. Couldn't Jesus find a more honest person? Finally, during the discussion the name of Judas came up. One person said, "I can't understand why Jesus chose Judas to be one of his disciples." To this another person replied, "I can't answer your question, but I have another one -- why did Jesus choose me?" "As the Father has sent me, so I send you" (John 19:21b). -- Frank
