There was a crazy summer...
There was a crazy summer in Michigan's Upper Peninsula; it was during the 1950s. Elvis Presley had come into his great limelight as a rock music star, and his name was almost a byword for thousands. It was also a name taken advantage of to the dismay of thousands of young people in Michigan's UP. Someone had hired a local printer to make posters saying that "Elvas Preslee" would appear in concert in the local high school auditorium. The date and hour were given. Posters had been put in store windows and on telephone poles throughout the county.
