Emphasis Preaching Journal

There is a pastor in a very exciting congregation. While many forms of ministry happen and community people are joining the church and the church is growing, there are often financial, interpersonal, and building problems of significant magnitude. When such clashes occur many of the long-time members, (the old guard) get all excited and blame the creative pastor. They are often angry that they have been led away from their old ways into this new place where they never know what will happen next. (They seem to remember that they used to know what would happen next.)
