There is only one gospel...
Illustration
There is only one gospel of Christ but in its proclamation through the centuries the good news is expressed in slightly different ways according to the needs of people in a particular time period.
A case in point is the tiny island of Iona off the coast of Scotland. In 563, Columba, a Celtic monk, sailed to Iona from Ireland. He made Iona a base of operations for preaching the gospel of Christ to Scotland, to England and even as far away as Russia. Columba sent his monks on mission work, and then they returned to the island for rest and spiritual renewal.
