There is an interesting story about E. P. Scott, one of the first Christian missionaries to India. One day, while traveling through a treacherous jungle area in South India, he was suddenly surrounded by an evil-looking band of tribesmen. They had their spears fixed on him and were starting to close in when, suddenly, he reached into his baggage and pulled out his violin. He began to sing the hymn, "All Hail the Power," and to accompany himself on his violin. When he reached the third stanza, which goes, "Let every kindred, every tribe," he saw an astonishing sign from God.
