There comes a time when...

There comes a time when people feel compelled to step up to bring about lasting change. There are times when we just cannot remain silent but feel God inspirited to act.
A pastor was visiting the children's ministry in a large church. The pastor was impressed at all the volunteers who each week provided teaching and support for the children's department. Each room was bright with murals painted on the wall. All the rooms were creatively decorated.
"I couldn't help but notice the inspired kids and thankful parents and engaged workers all around me," the pastor reflected. "Everyone looked so happy."
When asked why she volunteers each week a woman replied that when she was a child the Sunday school of her church met in a dark, damp, lifeless basement of the church. "There's no way I'm going to let the children at this church suffer like I suffered, no way ... not if I can help it."
When Jesus saw what was taking place in the courtyard of the temple, he knew it was wrong. He felt compelled to act. Jesus told those in the temple, "Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father's house a marketplace!"
The question for us: What can't you stand and what will you do about it?
