There are ways that the presence of faith reveals God's victory in the world. In the memoir, Strike and Hold, Moffett Burriss recounts his experiences as an officer in the 82nd Airborne Division during World War II. Burriss was involved in many episodes of dangerous combat. One of the most fascinating moments was the crossing of the Orne River in canvas boats during Operation Market Garden in Holland. The objective was to secure the opposite side of a bridge so that British armored forces could continue north to Arnheim in relief of the British Red Devils.
