A Tap On The Shoulder...

A Tap On The Shoulder by Jim Britt
You were in a hurry.
Perhaps it was on a busy street, when suddenly out of nowhere you felt a touch on your shoulder. Turning around you saw a familiar face aglow with excitement. Then you heard the words, "I have been trying to catch you." Peter Marshall describes this as just such an experience as when God is chasing us and stopping us in our tracks by "a tap on the shoulder."
Whom Will You Serve?
Who could have known the power behind the question Jesus posed to those who came too close for their own comfort, too close for their self-satisfied ways of life, too close not to be affected by the fateful question posed to all: Whom Will You Serve?
Jesus warned of the risks involved: Put aside your selfish desires. Prepare to encounter opposition. Take up a cross.
Greater, however, was the power Jesus promised: Courage to love in a world of hatred. Freedom to live in a world of destruction. Faith to witness in a world of unbelief.
