"Take aim," said the instructor. "If you aim, you may not hit your target, but you will be close. If you don't aim, you have no chance at all." Aiming in archery is important. It's even more important in life.
Paul says that some aim at riches. It's not likely that you will ever be rich if you don't aim for it. "Riches," Paul says, "make a bad target. Aim rather at righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness."
