A Sunday school teacher has kept a list of some mistaken ideas about religion her class has had over the many years of her teaching. Here are some of them:

One student had said, "Adultery is a sin, for it means saying you are older than you really are."

A feast day is "when you eat in a hurry." Redemption means "getting something with Green Stamps."

A hymn is "the bottom of a woman's dress."

Salvation is "what the crusaders died of in the desert."
