The story is told of a CEO who developed a particular test which was given to many engineers applying for work in his plant. After reviewing the resume and any letters of recommendation, this astute businessman would take the applicant out to lunch. During the lunch hour, there would be a lot of talk about creative ideas, working styles and some personal information. However, a large part of the test involved the observation by the CEO of a particular behavior by the applicant. He would watch the applicant closely once the food arrived at the table.
