The story of the semi...
Illustration
The story of the semi-prodigal daughter crisscrosses the story of the prodigal son.
She wasn't really that bad. She wasn't on drugs or alcohol. She wasn't sexually immoral. She just needed to get away from her home so she could find herself.
Her father wasn't that good. He had his blind spots. He didn't want her to leave home and said so. "She won't make it on her own," he said to the girl's mother. The mother was a little wiser. "We can't protect her forever," she said. Reluctantly, they let the nineteen-year-old leave town for another, hundreds of miles away.
