The stories in the gospel today involve touching. Faith is often related to the simple act of touching. Nonetheless, there is a tendency on the part of many of us to hold back and not express our feelings.

Leo Buscaglia tells the story about the young man who decides he wants to learn how to better relate to other people. He goes to a bookstore and is hard-pressed to find anything to help him. He finally comes upon a book that seems practical. The book is titled How to Hug. When he returns home he discovers that he has bought Volume Nine of an encyclopedia.
