Some years ago when copiers were just becoming common, Xerox had a commercial about their copiers with two monks at a monastery. The senior monk is in a panic and hands the other one a huge stack of papers and says, "We need copies of these." The other monk doesn't get too excited but goes and finds the copier and soon after comes back with the copies. When the senior monk sees this he says, "It's a miracle." In the gospel passage we have a real miracle. A birth takes place and it is not an ordinary birth that just happens.
