Sixteen-year-old Lee woke up in the hospital with a broken leg, a concussion and multiple lacerations. Since the leg was broken in several places, rehabilitative therapy was going to be long and painful. What hurt even more than the physical pain was the knowledge that the accident had been totally avoidable. He had gone along with his buddies after the game and had "chugged down" three beers. Then, going against every bit of common sense in the book, he had decided to try to drive home, even though he could feel the alcohol taking effect.
