Simeon was an old man...
Illustration
Simeon was an old man, and perhaps his eyesight was dim; but he knew the Savior when he came. He could see better than some of us.
Charles Spurgeon told the story of a fellow minister who called at the house of a poor aged woman with a contribution of money for the payment of her rent. He knocked again and again, but failed to get a response, and at last he turned and walked away. The woman was in the house all the time, and she heard the knocking. Later she explained, "I thought it was the man come to ask for the rent."
