She had heard and read...

She had heard and read the word God spoke to Jesus at his baptism. "This is my Son, the Beloved," a voice from heaven said. But Jesus was special.
She recalled the words her pastor had spoken at the last baptism she had attended, perhaps at her own, as well. "You are a child of God." Oh, to be beloved by God!
Then during a traumatic time, when she faced a decision that would determine the rest of her life, she prayed. That night a voice from her dream said, "You will know what to do when you get there, for lo, I am with you always." They were her "beloved-daughter" words in which she lived thereafter.
