Seven-year-old Chris was overheard talking to his younger sister as she struggled unsuccessfully to tie her shoelaces. "Once I couldn't tie my shoes, either," he said. "But now it's so easy I don't even have to think about it. Just keep working at it and you'll get the hang of it." While Chris was giving good advice, it didn't help; his sister finally burst into frustrated, angry tears. Learning to follow God's laws in our lives is a lot like learning to tie our shoelaces or learning other basic life skills. We learn through repeated practice, hard work, and dedication.
