Sandra and Tom had just celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Tom claimed that they were even more in love with each other now than when they'd been married. When asked to share the secret of their marriage's success, they'd say, "We respect and support each other as individuals. We share many of the same interests, and we work together as much as possible." If anything marred their relationship, it was the fact that Tom was an active member of their church, while Sandra would refuse to get involved.
