Robert Louis Stevenson told a...
Robert Louis Stevenson told a story about his grandfather. This man was on a boat. A terrible storm caught the craft and carried it irresistibly toward a rocky shore. Those rocks spelled destruction for the boat and death to its passengers. When the storm was at its height, Stevenson's grandfather inched his way carefully to the deck. He wanted to see the danger for himself. When he reached the deck, he saw the pilot. The pilot was tied to the wheel. With all his strength and knowledge, the pilot held the vessel off the rocks. He steered the boat inch by inch to safer waters.
