A recent poll found that 86 percent of all Americans say that they are Christians. But do 86 percent of all Americans actually live like they mean that? Or another poll reported that three-fourths of all Americans say that they have made a commitment to Jesus Christ. But that same poll found that only 13 percent of those same people thought that it was important for them to follow the Ten Commandments. The epistle reading reminds us that the Christian faith is not just about verbally affirming a belief.
