A recent medical study found that people who exercise infrequently or for only short periods of time have health that is practically no better than those who do not exercise at all. The conclusion of the study was that if people want to have any definite improvement in their physical condition, they need to exercise rigorously for an extended period several times each week. In other words, we need to make a regular, intentional effort if we want to improve our physical state. Doing five push-ups a week is just not going to do it. And it is the same with our spiritual condition.
