The Pharisees never did really...

The Pharisees never did really catch on to what Jesus was trying to say to them.
I read recently of a woman who was busy baking cookies one day when a man knocked on her door looking for work. "Can you paint?" she asked. "Oh yes, I am a very good painter," he answered. "Well, there is some green paint around back and a porch I would like painted. Do a good job and I will pay you what it is worth."
She returned to her baking and didn't think about the man again, until a couple of hours had passed and there came another knock on the door. It was the man again and the evidence of his work was on his clothing and hands. "Are you all finished?" she asked. "I am," he answered. "And did you do a good job?" she inquired. "Yes I did, but ma'am I think I should point out something to you. That is not a Porsche back there; it's a Mercedes."
