Peter and John had grown...
Illustration
Peter and John had grown up with the same bigotry against Samaritans as had their peers. Samaritans were dogs because they claimed to be people of God, even though they had their own temple apart from the "true temple" in Jerusalem. When Jesus tells the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10) the listeners are shocked to find that the despised Samaritan is the one who does right in Jesus' eyes. Now, Peter and John are going to Samaria to pray that the Holy Spirit come upon the believers. Is it a miracle that the Samaritans believe?
