Perhaps one had to be there to fully appreciate our Lord's transfiguration. One moment he was praying in the solitude of the mountains, and the next moment his face changed --even his clothes looked different! Peter, James, and John certainly couldn't understand it, but they knew that something unusual had happened.

The disciples' shock could not have been any greater than my own when I saw my first butterfly emerge from a cocoon. My shock was greater still when I learned that the cocoon was a sleeping bag for a caterpillar!
