As part of the opening exercises at a youth retreat, the young people were asked to make a list of rules and regulations. It was explained that these rules and regulations would be used as the disciplinary guidelines for the duration of the retreat. In no time at all the young people had a long list of do's and don'ts. They included things like: do not run; do not swear; no shouting; go to sleep when you're told; and go to all of the study sessions.
