One day a mother became exasperated with her five-year-old daughter, as all mothers do from time to time. Her daughter had ripped her dress while playing. In an unthinking flurry of anger the mother ordered her daughter to go to the bedroom and sew up her dress. Well, this was a foolish request to make of a young lady who had never held a needle, but the mother did not think of that. She was asking the impossible.
