In our country right now, just about everyone is opposed to the huge budget deficit that continues to swell with the passing of every second. But how many do anything about it? Well, in Jefferson Township, located in western Pennsylvania, the township commissioners are doing their part. In 1993 they returned a check for $111,000 that they had received from the government. Although they admitted to being tempted to spend the money on some frivolous projects, they ended up deciding that if the budget deficit was ever going to shrink, that process had to start somewhere.
