One way to characterize Jesus...

One way to characterize Jesus' actions at the temple is to say he was housecleaning. It is a job nobody likes to do, one that gets sloughed off or assigned to someone else. Possibly that is why Jesus had so much work to do that day.
But for those people who are stuck with housecleaning, breastfeeding.com has fifteen tricks that make it easier. To summarize a few: 1) use the oven space to hide unwashed dishes; 2) don't dust under what you can dust around; 3) vacuum only the middle of the floor; it takes too long to vacuum under furniture and nobody sees any way; 4) employ low lighting -- it's harder to see the dirt; and 5) if it can't be cleaned in thirty days, lock the door (not recommended for bathrooms!).
These tips might tickle our fancy, but aren't we glad Jesus didn't use them when he cleaned the temple?
