One of my son's housemates...

One of my son's housemates at college is an artist. His work gives the house a rather distinctive look: scattered amid the books, pizza boxes, and clothes (clean and otherwise) are paintings, sculptures, and other works of art.
JR is proud of his work. He will tell you about each piece, explaining the inspiration behind the work with obvious satisfaction. He invites you to enjoy his works, to let them move you. He created each piece to be enjoyed by others.
He hasn't created any masterpieces yet, just plenty of works of art. Still, JR's goal is to paint full time. After a trip to study in Italy, he commented, "I want my work to touch people like those paintings I studied touched mine. I look at life differently now."
