Juan Manuel Santos is Colombia's turnaround man. President Santos, 60, is presiding over a country plagued with drug cartels. In order to provide the country with hope in a new future, he is promoting public education. In one program, children under the age of five who received early childhood education have increased from 600,000 to 1.2 million. It is Santos' belief that improving the education of his country is the best way to mitigate poverty, inequality, and violence. He is doing this by launching a program he calls De Cero a Siempre (From Zero to Forever).
