Lorraine puts her foot in her mouth at every opportunity, or so it seems to her. She has a hard time making new friends, because she tends to make jokes that nobody thinks are funny, or say something tactless, or somehow manage to insult someone on accident. It keeps her awake at night, thinking over all the stupid things she did or said in the course of the week. In fact, it often keeps her from going to parties or from meeting new people -- she just doesn't want another disappointment. But Lorraine also knows that this is no way to live. She has to learn to let go of the things that she says or does that get in the way, and just resolve to do better tomorrow. It is not for her to judge herself. She will leave that up to God. She has a little living left to do!
