No one is immune to the kind of dismay and discouragement that Jeremiah expressed --
not even Mother Teresa. In an interview with CNN, the Archbishop of Calcutta, Henry
D'Souza, revealed that Mother Teresa had her moments of sorrow and despair when she
was searching for a place to house her ministry to the dying in Calcutta. She once wrote,
"I wandered the streets the whole day. My feet are aching, and I have not been able to
find a home."
Yet, she did eventually find a place for her work. Even in the midst of sorrow and
dismay, God is at work.
