No one can come to...
Illustration
No one can come to Christ unless he or she is drawn by God. The lure of divine love is not automatic or coercive. The word "lure" usually implies that one is driven from a desirable course of action or situation to an undesirable or wrong one. Yet perhaps one can be drawn by what is desirable, as well as what is undesirable, though one may not fully know what it is.
A fishing lure may be artificial or real bait, such as minnows or plastic worms, or it may be an intricate combination of color and feathers, tied carefully together.
In falconry a bunch of feathers tied to a long cord is used to train and recall a hawk. In either case, the natural inclination of the fish or the hawk is used to "lure" it.
Despite the strident opinions of some animal activists, trainers at amusement parks such as Sea World emphasize that to train dolphins and orcas, they are only encouraging the animals to do what "comes naturally."
