No finer words of father...

No finer words of father love could have been spoken in time to pass on to the followers of faith than these by Elisha. Mother love was already expressed in the beautiful words of Ruth:
Entreat me not to leave you or to return from following you; for where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God; where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if even death parts me from you. (Ruth 1:16-17)
These two glaring examples of passed-on love and devotion stand as a hallmark of faith and love in a world which badly needs love's example.
