My grace is sufficient for...

"My grace is sufficient for you; my power is made perfect in weakness." Whatever the needs of our lives, God is always a resource for us, a resource of help. Whatever the task before us, we have never done everything we might do unless we have sought and accepted the help of God.
A small boy was trying to lift a stone much too heavy for him. His father walked by and, seeing his struggles, said, "Are you using all your strength?" The boy said that indeed he was. But the father replied, "No, son, you aren't, for you haven't asked me to help." A part of that boy's strength was the strength of a loving father. Because of that loving relationship between father and son, all the father's strength was freely available to the boy. So it is with God and us.
In a textile factory a sign above the weaving machines read: "If the threads become tangled, call the foreman." A new employee one day experienced a bad entanglement of the threads at her machine, and tried frantically to untangle them. As she was so involved, the foreman came by, and asked, "Why didn't you call me?" The worker replied, "I was just trying to do my best without bothering you." The foreman then said, "Remember this: doing your best always includes calling me."
