Months before the fall of the Berlin Wall a monthly publication from the church in East Germany titled Blick in Unsere Presse (A Look into our Press) published articles dealing with the question of freedom and the church. One article reported on the visit of American black clergy who explained the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the civil rights movement. The issue published just prior to the tumbling of the wall contained articles stressing peace. "World Peace Promotes Great Moral Efforts," one article explained.
