A missionary named Moffat told this story about his mission to Central Africa at the end of the last century. Finally able to sit down and speak to an important African chief, he began to interpret biblical passages to the old warrior. "What are these words, the dead shall arise?"
"Yes," Moffat said, "the dead shall arise one day." "Will my father arise?" asked the chief. "Yes, your father will arise." "And will all those what have been devoured by lions, tigers, and crocodiles also arise?" "Yes," Moffatt said, "All will rise to judgment."
