"Mass mailings are biblical!" the pastor told the church board. The arguments against the idea came up quickly. They cost too much. They're a very ineffective way to get out the message about the church. Nobody ever reads those things.

The pastor listened to all of the arguments and then reminded them of Jesus' story about a man who sowed seed: Some of it fell on hard soil, some of it fell on the path, some of it fell among the weeds, but some of it fell on the good soil and brought forth growth.
