Many of you remember the popular novel, Barabbas, written at the end of World War II. It followed The Robe and many other novels by the same author. It was about Barabbas, the criminal who was turned loose instead of Jesus. Barabbas, who had been scheduled to die on the cross that day, was suddenly released and went down to the local bar. Everybody was shocked to see him. They had planned to go out and watch his execution. They asked him how he got free and Barabbas said, "They turned me loose.
