Many of us are not especially patient. Our world doesn't encourage it. We measure computer time in nano-seconds. Meals are served in "five minutes or they're free." Messages are delivered almost immediately -- via fax, e-mail, modem. If we are patient, we might be considered inefficient, slow, naive, or ignorant.
