Many prayers had been uttered as preparations for this meal were made. Uncle Ben and Aunt Florence had driven all the way from Texas to be here for this meal. The rest of the family, most of whom lived within a 20-mile radius, were happy to see those two arrive. This was just too important a meal to hold without the whole family being present. Uncle Dave's boy, Curt, was being sent overseas with his Army unit as part of a United Nations peacekeeping force. This would be his final meal before getting the plane with the rest of his group.
